#LIFEONAIR Hüseyin's Beetle Turbo
7/7/2017
The late-model Beetle may not be the most popular base for a show car build, but Hüseyin’s certainly shows exactly why these vehicles are actually a great choice.
Boasting a two-liter, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, the Beetle is a much more design-conscious and curvy version of the Golf. We caught up with Hüseyin at the top of a very hot Wörthersee car park this year to get all the details.
This Beetle isn’t the shy, retiring type. When he wasn’t content with how the factory intended the turbocharged motor, Hüseyin added an HG motorsports software tune, an HF series intake, and an interestingly named Bull X Ego X exhaust system that really barks.
If you are scratching your head and wondering what a US-spec Beetle turbo is doing in Austria, don’t worry, you’re not going crazy.
Hüseyin imported US turbo tail lights, as well as front and rear bumpers to create this illusion. It seems like Europeans are all about the US-look while we in the US want the Euro parts.
These are, of course, not the most striking things about the build – the low right height is.
Equipped with our threaded body air suspension and 3P management system, the Beetle has the suspension to compliment its power. At the touch of a button, Hüseyin can effortlessly lower the swooping arches over the 19″ BBS LM.
