SEMA SPOTLIGHT: Carl Taylor's Pandem E36 M3
11/15/2015
It’s fair to say that Carl Taylor was certainly pretty busy on the run up to SEMA show, with not one but two SEMA builds to complete! Both were BMW M3s, but each with different flavor, it was with this E36 version that Carl’s flair for wrapping vinyl could really cut loose.
Finished in a striking ‘dazzle camouflage’ scheme, the E36 is a rebirth of the popular ‘Tic Tac’ car from last year. This year however, almost all of the vehicle was altered from the previous incarnation to create a fresh identity all of it’s own.
The most striking feature, aside from the 3M wrapping vinyl, was the addition of the newly released Rocket Bunny Pandem kit. Using box flares rather than the traditional rounded Rocket Bunny arches gives the M3 a totally different vibe and provides a great canvas for the wrap.
Fighting for attention, and doing a pretty good job, four spoke Rotiform wheels finished in an eye-searing candy pink fill each arch.
In order to give his E36 a ground hugging stance, Carl choose a suspension designed and engineered not just to go low, but also have the handling performance to keep up with the M-division’s powerful engine design. Double bellow air bags coupled with threaded body shocks and struts are controlled by the Air Lift Performance 3H digital management system. The BMW M3 is an iconic driver’s car and Air Lift Performance 3H offers the very latest height and pressure sensing technology to further enhance the driving experience.
