GALLERY: Air Lift Performance @ Essen Motorshow
1/7/2019
We may have only just entered 2019 but the world of Automotive Tuning never sleeps! In the next two weeks alone the show season kicks-off once again with Autosport, Tokyo Auto Salon and CES all taking place around the world. And if last year as anything to go by, 2019 is going to be BIG.
But there was one ‘small’ show which might have slipped under your radar at the end of 2018. A little Christmas event known as the Essen Motorshow… aka the largest tuning event in Europe.
Every year the humble town of Essen plays host to this mammoth two-week event which brings together tuners and manufacturers from across the world. Thing of it as Europe’s answer to SEMA, albeit with a little less gambling and a LOT more beer. That’s high praise, especially when going head to head with Sin City…
Just like SEMA, Essen is one of the pillars of the automotive industry, with the first show kicking off back in 1968. Back then, Essen was crammed into a space of just 7,000 m² with some 50,000 visitors in attendance. Compare that to 2018 and Essen now occupies a series of exhibition halls exceeding 100,000 m² with more than 350,000 visitors making the trek every year.
Car tuning is SERIOUS business in Germany. Our Bavarian brothers don’t just fit any old tat on their cars – aftermarket upgrades need to be built to OEM levels of quality and safety (otherwise known as TUV approval). To see so many vehicles equipped with Air Lift Performance suspension – as well as being able to exhibit our latest products alongside the trade stands – is a true testament to the passion and pride we’ve put into every single air suspension kit. And to be recognized at an event alongside Brabus, RUF and AC Schnitzer is a real honor!
Over the next few weeks we’ll be bringing you spotlights, galleries and show reports to kick-start 2019 in the best possible way, but until then, check out our gallery from Essen and let us know your favorites!
