Preview: Player's Classic 2018 Presented By Air Lift Performance

Three things in life are certain: death, taxes and Player’s Classic being AWESOME. We can hardly believe it’s that time of the year again already, but with the promise of killer cars & positive vibes at one of the UK’s most prestigious circuits, well it’s safe to say you wont hear any complaining from Air Lift Performance…

You see 2018 is a BIG year for Player’s Classic and we’re not just saying that for internet hype. Ever since Classic started back in 2013 – and the North Weald event in 2007 – Player’s has only ever functioned as a single-day event come rain or shine. In 2018 that all changes, with Classic now taking over Goodwood for the entire weekend! Saturday will function similar to previous years with an action-packed circuit, while Sunday’s exhibition will provide a more chilled vibe as the track then plays host to additional show car displays.

It’s going to be awesome, no doubt about it. But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what bossman Carl Taylor had to say…

‘After 5 very successful years at the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit a decision was made to try and turn the exclusive Saturday vibe we’d established into a full weekender, allowing us to accept more vehicles and creating a new element to the show. After many ideas and thoughts the decision was made to turn the additional day (Sunday) into a breakfast-style event resulting in one of the largest displays of showcars the UK and Europe has ever seen.’

‘What has made Player’s such a great event is the ridiculously high standard of cars on display, and that hasn’t happened by accident. Every year we work tirelessly behind the scenes to gather the best possible collection of cars from ALL scenes to cater for everyone’s tastes. There’s always a massive list of cars we wish we could include if it wasn’t for the limited space, and this additional day will allow us to do just that.’

‘Expect non-stop track action on Saturday with the two paddocks jam packed full of pre-approved showcars… and then we do it all again on Sunday but with the track morphed into an additional parking area! In fact, show car passes sold out at the end of March so the quality is going to be something else.’

If you’ve not got your tickets already, you can still turn up on either (or both) days to get a piece of the action. We’ll be bringing along some of Europe’s best Air Lift-equipped cars for both static and track work, so whatever you’re doing… cancel it and head down to Goodwood.
