Reach for the Ground with Mica Dori
6/19/2024
As a tattooer, Mica Dori loves the little details and knows how to make them look good - look at her 1991 Mercedes-Benz 190 E for proof.
Air Lift Performance is kicking off a YouTube series, Reach for the Ground, hosted by the talented Dori. In this series, Dori will check out some of the hottest rides, talk up the builders, and show off the best of the custom automotive community.
This Benz rides as low as it can on a custom-built air suspension set up with our 3P management, which is probably one of the most straightforward customizations on this car.
The 190 E features a custom body kit and side-exit exhausts, and the bright white paint job helps the interior’s deep red leather stand out.
Dori dedicated herself and an enormous amount of time to this build, spending over 500 hours engraving and polishing the engine, making it so everywhere you can see in the engine bay; it is another personalized detail made by Dori herself. With a cut-out hood, her carved-to-perfection engine is always on display.
Dori walks us through her entire build, and be sure to keep an eye out for more episodes as she meets with other builders like herself.
In the second episode of our series, follow Dori while she goes to meet Dougie McColm and see his 1972 Mercedes-Benz W108.
Equipped with Air Lift Performance, this Benz can run standard or be slammed to the ground. Dougie took inspiration from his car’s brochure of all the available options back in 1972 and custom-built them into his ride, like the full bench up front and sunroof.
In this third video, Dori meets Jake Crouch and his Air Lift Performance 3P-equipped Rb26 Pandem R32 Skyline, which he’s built up over the seven years he’s owned the car. Jake took the time to hunt down other cars for specific pieces he wanted to build his dream, along with the show-stopping 10-inch lip on 15j wheels.
