SEMA SPOTLIGHT: Daniel Covarrubias' FRS

Daniel Covarrubias’ FRS will most likely be familiar to avid users of Instagram. The notorious ‘Financial Mistake’ wing slogan has long been an internet favorite and spawned numerous imitations. For SEMA 2015 Daniel refreshed the car with a brand new look and some awesome additions.

Back to this year however, and it’s the new color adorning the GReddy x Rocket Bunny V2 bodywork that is the focus.

Matching Daniel’s S13, the FRS is finished in a distinctive green/grey hue and is a huge contrast to the previous white paint scheme. The wheels are built by Avant Garde and measure an enormous 18×10 up front and 18×12 on the rear, but it’s the offsets that steal the show – minus 38 and 40!

These wheels, coupled with aggressive Toyo R888 provide the FRS with a menacing, track orientated stance which matches the power of the Vortech supercharged power plant perfectly.

An Air Lift Performance 3H digital air ride system coupled with the FRS front and rear suspension kits takes care of the ride height and makes sure Daniel can cruise the car low while also fulfilling the sporting intentions of the engine upgrades.

A performance based suspension with independent damping adjustment, camber adjustable top mounts and the very latest in ride height and pressure sensing management, Air Lift Performance 3H gives this FRS the edge over the competition.
